It’s been 20 days 8 hours and 31 mins Opera Mini was submitted to apple – that’s what the counter on Opera’s community showed when it was finally approved yesterday . Opera mini is coming to the app store today the 13th of April and would be an available as a free app for about 24 hrs.
Being subjected to some controversies many people believed that Apple would reject the application because it directly competed with Apple’s in built app ‘Safari’ . Opera had done everything possible to be compliant with Apple’s app store policies and avoid any issues causing rejection .The Opera’s App was built and submitted it to Apple but Opera turned it into a media event by creating counter when apple did not respond to the submission for a day .
Opera mini has a large user base of more than 50 million users worldwide , opera mini enables fast mobile Web browsing by compressing data by up to 90 percent before sending content to the device, resulting in significantly improved page loading. Users of the app will notice an uptake in speed, especially on slower networks such as the 2G Edge network. Surfing the Web with the Opera Mini App on iPhone and iPod touch will also help users save money because of its data compression capabilities.
