Tapulous an iPhone gaming startup was founded by Bart Decrem in 2008 is one of the best iPhone application developers on the App Store . Bart Decrem is joining as the senior VP at Disney soon .
There was an update on the Tapulous blog by Decrem which says
“Today, we announced that we are joining Disney. We will be a key part of Disney Interactive Media Group, spearheading their drive to be the leader in mobile entertainment.
As part of Disney Interactive Media Group, we’ll develop more games, more quickly and with the resources of the world’s leading entertainment company. We will continue to develop apps that live at the intersection of music and gaming, but we’ll also push into new and exciting areas of mobile social entertainment.”
Their app Tap Tap Revenge has been downloaded over a million times in a very short term, it is a game which features tapping on the rhythm of song and is a free app but to get new songs you need to pay for it , the latest game which comes from Tapulous is Tap Tap Radiation for iPad .
Tapulous generally focuses on the music- oriented games appealing to younger crowd , there are version of Tap Tap revenge which feature specific artists like Lady Gaga Revenge, Nickelback Revenge, and Nine Inch Nails Revenge Justin Bieber Revenge .Disney is well known game seller of Disney movie cartoon characters such as Toy Story, Cars, and Hannah Montana . Now with acquisition of Tapulous Disney gets into iPod touch, iPad and iPhone application development and giving it a strong presence on iOS platform .
