Apple iPhone 3GS 16GB: Still Desirable Smartphone

Till few months back the iPhone 3GS 16GB was undisputed king in the Smartphone world. Things have changed with the appearence of iPhone 4. But the old model is still competitive despite of its relative age.
The 3GS model of iPhone still offers some enviable features and a form factor that poise class and quality. The interface is really very simple, with the shortcuts and apps spread over an unlimited array of home screens. All these together have made the 3GS quite popular among the users and the iPhone app developers.
The seamless multi-touch screen can still impress you. It let you pinch to zoom and scroll through the web pages easily. The 3.2 inches & 480×320 screen seems to be relatively small and low-resolution compared to that of Desire and Wave’s offerings, but it’s absolutely alright to view the movies and photos.
It’s also great for gaming apps. Its music player is, as you can expect from Apple, the top-drawer. Scroll through the tracks, artists or the albums and create your very own playlists on iTunes.
There’s 16GB space to store your tunes in. The supplied ear buds are not up to the mark, however a 3.5mm socket would do great. The 3.2-megapixel camera is good enough to compete a digicam, but the lack of a flash is the limiting factor. However iPhone 4 stays well ahead with a five-megapixel camera and 720p video capture. Also the improved battery life is iPhone 4 is a tempting factor.
If you are not allured by the new gadget, however, you may be settle down with this still highly desirable phone.

We Like : The superlative multi-touch interface and the huge variety of apps
Don’t Like : The lack of a Flash, a smaller screen
Our stand : The iPhone 3GS’s killer operating system, the multi-touch interface and a superior app selection have made it still desirable among the users and iPhone developers.
