In last couple of months probably you have seen the most number of speculative reports about the Verizon iPhone!!!
The experts in the iPhone development industry have the names of Sprints and T-Mobile as the alternative of Verizon, in case Apple looks for some other carrier.
Some of the experts have reported that Apple and Verizon Wireless are struggling to launch the CDMA iPhone and the dream of the CDMA users to get an iPhone on Verizon carrier is not going to be fulfilled soon. Recently Shaw Wu, a noted analyst for Kaufman Bros, has said that, “Apple and Verizon Wireless are still doing their best efforts for the users.”
James Kendrick from JKOnTheRun reported earlier that Sprint dropped their plans to sell Google’s Nexus One. He has also estimated iPhone to gain much popularity this year. Many of the analysts have raised questions about the chances of T-Mobile to become an alternative.
With the continuous network problem of AT&T, CDMA iPhone seems to be the most unavoidable conclusion, and if Verizon is dropped, Sprint would be the best choice for it. However T-Mobile is always the logical alternative as it uses the same GSM network like AT&T.
Wu thinks that the cost of iPhone for AT&T is more when compared to the Android and BlackBerry phones on Verizon carrier. He has also added that, Apple urges Verizon to offer a similar price. However analysts are not sure of the possibility of it as they need time to get a similar popularity and success with iPhone like Android handsets from Motorola and HTC.
